Puran Poli

Sweet lentil-stuffed flatbread made during festivals like Holi and Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ingredients:

  • Chana dal, jaggery, cardamom
  • Wheat flour, ghee

Steps:

  1. Cook chana dal and mix with jaggery and cardamom to make the filling.
  2. Knead soft dough and let it rest.
  3. Stuff, roll out, and cook on a hot tawa with ghee.
Misal Pav

Misal Pav

A spicy curry of sprouted moth beans topped with farsan and served with pav.

Ingredients:

  • Sprouted moth beans, onions, tomatoes
  • Goda masala, red chili powder, pav

Steps:

  1. Cook beans with spices and create a spicy "tarri" or gravy.

Steps:

  • Baby brinjals, roasted peanuts, sesame seeds
  • Grated coconut, jaggery, goda masala

Steps:

  1. Stuff brinjals with spiced masala paste.
  2. Cook slowly in a pan until tender.
  3. Serve with chapati or bhakri.

Ingredients:

  • Rice flour, grated coconut, jaggery
  • Cardamom, ghee

Steps:

  1. Make sweet coconut-jaggery filling.
  2. Prepare soft rice flour dough.
  3. Shape modaks, steam, and brush with ghee.
